Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about trash bin and dumpster cleaning. But, if you don’t see your question here, reach out to talk to us! We’re happy to answer any of your questions about our services.

Q: Why should I pay someone to clean my trash bins? Couldn’t I just do it myself?

A: That’s a great question. Trash bins are breeding grounds for germs and bacteria. Washing them with water from a hose and some detergent won’t clean, sanitize, and disinfect. They’re also unwieldy and heavy. Trying to clean them with a hose usually ends up with you getting trash water sprayed in your face. YUCK!
Then, once you’re finished rinsing away all that grossness, where do you pour that filthy water? On your sidewalks and lawn where your family and pets play? Down your drains, where it can pollute and cause environmental damage?
Let’s face it, cleaning trash cans is one of the worst household chores. Most people put it off for too long because it’s so bad. And that just makes the situation worse. So rather than wasting your weekend getting covered in trash water, you can use our service that is self-contained, much more effective, easy and efficient. We bring the water and take the dirty water away. And you don’t have to lift a finger.

Q: Does your trash bin cleaning service come to my area?

A: We service homes, commercial properties, and communities in Albuquerque, Corrales, Placitas, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. So if you live in those areas, you can schedule your cleaning today.

Q: Will you be cleaning my bins by hand?

A: Absolutely not! Our specially designed trash bin and dumpster cleaning trucks use extra hot high-pressure water and environmentally safe cleaners to sanitize and deodorize in the self-contained cleaning tank of our truck. That means there’s no dirty trash water spilled onto your property. Our trucks clean the inside and outside of your bins or dumpsters, and put them back at your house right away, looking and smelling great. We never take your bins or dumpsters off-site. All bins and dumpsters are cleaned quickly when they are empty, right after trash pickup.

Q: My trash bins aren’t that old. Why do I need them cleaned?

A: Bacteria and viruses don’t care how old your trash bins are. The only trash cans that don’t need cleaning are those that have never seen a trash day.  Once they’ve held trash, they need sanitizing.

That’s because the small enclosed space of the trash cans are the perfect breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Before you know it, millions of bacteria have multiplied making your trash can smell foul and harboring bacteria that could possibly get you or your family sick.

That’s why we actually recommend you start your cleaning schedule when your trash can is still new. This way, they’ll always stay smelling fresh, clean and safe to touch. (Remember: We can start cleaning your trash bins no matter their age or condition)

Q: How often should I have my bins cleaned?

A: You’re always in charge of your trash bin cleaning schedule. Choose between once a month or every three months. We recommend cleaning more frequently if your trash bins are stored inside. You’ll definitely want these sanitized and deodorized more frequently if you’re breathing the same air they’re in.

Q: Does this cleaning process harm the environment?

A: Protecting the environment is important to us. That’s why we make sure not to harm the environment with our cleaning services. We only use vehicles that store all the dirty by-product water. This ensures that none of this dirty water ends up polluting storm water in drains. We only use cleaning products that have the certified Green Seal for environmentally-friendly ingredients.

Q: Are you a local business?

A: Yes! We are a veteran-owned family run business. We live in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area so you can feel comfortable knowing that we’re part of your community. We began our business during the COVID -19 pandemic when sanitizing took on new importance for all of us.

Q: How will I know when my bins are scheduled to be cleaned?

A: It’s easier to remember your trash bin cleaning day. It’s the same day as your garbage pickup day. After your bins have been emptied, we then come by to clean them. You’ll get a fresh smelling, sanitized bin placed back on your curb for your convenience.

Q: Do you clean a variety of sizes of garbage bins?

A: We certainly do. We can clean your standard trash cans, recycling can and we can even clean dumpsters. So we’re sure your trash bin size won’t be a problem for us to handle.

Q:  Will my bin be completely spotless after its first cleaning?

A: This depends on how dirty your bin is. For an extremely dirty bin it may take more than one cleaning. During your first cleaning, we typically need to run a longer cleaning cycle and use more water and cleaner. That’s why you’ll notice our one-time fee costs more than our subscription plans.
